Ezra Jack Keats

“Crunch, crunch, crunch, his feet sank into the snow” The Snowy Day, 1962
(I love every inch of this book with my whole heart.)
“Soon everybody was dreaming—except one person”
Dreams, 1974
. . . and here's my little snow angel playing at The Snowy Day display at
 The Minnesota Children's Museum.

I love this book!
Fall head first into Laurie Rosenwald's wonderful world of design & art.
Check out her work here and see her sweet book promo here.

She's also illustrated David's Diary by the darling David Sedaris. Sounds like fun!

The Secret Garden

This is my favorite title about Springtime.
This edition of Francis Hodgson Burnett's classic is illustrated by Inga Moore.
I think they did a great job with this movie adaptation, too. Watch the trailer here.

Mealtime-New Reviews!

"Illustrator Marieka Heinlen’s adorable collage-style illustrations (quickly becoming some of my very favorite in the children’s lit. world), depict young children happily enjoying their meal. As a mom, I loved the inclusion of the social skills and the emphasis on eating healthy foods."
So kind. Thanks a million, Supermom!
Publisher's Weekly (April) wrote:
"Heinlen creates contrast and dimension with eye-catching patterns
on wallpaper, dishes, and the characters’ clothing.
